We are Enel
This story begins in Italy, specifically, in the 1960s. The Italian National Electricity Board (ENEL) was established in the second year of that decade to boost the country's growth. Our networks grew to the point of being distributed all over Europe.

About Enel Green Power
The arrival of the war-related energy crisis and the approach of the new millennium gave us the opportunity to look at clean energy sources that no one else was paying attention to, resulting in a tangible effort in 2008 with our Enel Green Power division.
We produce energy from renewable resources and offer innovative and sustainable business solutions. As a pioneer in the field, we have created the world's first triple hybrid power plant (geothermal, photovoltaic and solar thermal). We are also working in the marine sector, exploring wave and tidal technologies.
Our goal in México
Although our presence in the country is very recent, these years of collaboration have shown us the potential that exists in the country. Integrating sustainable practices, environmental protection and biodiversity into business strategies is a key factor in Enel's business plan; however, it is not the only way in which we solve energy problems.
